“Wood Rose” or parasite wood, is a malformation of a tree; most commonly the Chinaberry or Mango tree, caused by a parasite that embeds itself into the bark. The parasite growth is so hard and dense that it keeps its form long after the host tree has died and rotted away. These Wood Roses are used by talented artisans to create carvings and display pieces, showing their unusual, natural beauty.
Due to the natural form of these pieces of wood no two are the same and while we have tried to give you clear dimensions of our products they are offered as a guide only, and if you require exact sizes of a particular piece please contact us for details.
